Site audit for AI search and SEO

Optimz audits a client's site for what AI search needs: crawler access, server-rendered content, an answer at the top of the page, and indexing in Google and Bing.

What the site audit checks

The Optimz site audit crawls a client's site and checks the things that decide whether AI engines can fetch, read and quote its pages, next to the usual technical SEO checks. Each issue says which pages it affects, why it matters, and how strong the evidence is.

CheckWhy it matters for AI answers
AI crawler access in robots.txt and the firewallA blocked page can't be fetched by OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot or PerplexityBot at all.
Content in the server HTMLAI crawlers don't run JavaScript, so text that only appears after scripts run is invisible to them.
The opening of the pageChatGPT's own index keeps about the first 202 characters of a page, starting at the H1.
Google and Bing indexing, snippet rulesGoogle AI features use only indexed, snippet-eligible pages; Copilot and part of ChatGPT draw on Bing.
Visible prices, current datesVisible prices helped on commercial questions in controlled tests; fresh dates matter for ChatGPT and Perplexity.

Graded by evidence, not by myth

The audit does not flag missing JSON-LD schema, FAQ schema, llms.txt or word count as AI citation problems, because controlled tests found they don't move citations. Schema is still checked for Google rich results and labelled that way. The guide what actually moves AI citations has the evidence for each check.

From audit to fix

Issues that can affect a client's visibility become ranked fixes in the Action Center, each with a copy-ready prompt for an AI coding agent. To see the checks on any site first, run the free AEO audit on up to 10 pages.
